Wufoo – Website Forms Design Plaform
Every website needs forms – enquiries, surveys, questionaires, applications – you know the kind of thing. Wufoo lets you easily design and implement all of those, and many more, without ever writing a single line of code.
There are lots of forms builders out these and they vary in quality and ease of use but WuFoo is one of the good guys. When I’m told that I can do something, that would usually require developer, without touching a line of code, I am, to say the least, sceptical.
So it was refreshing to find that Wufoo really does deliver on this promise – you really can create very useful forms without writing code and that is a huge bonus as far as I’m concerned.
Wufoo provides a set of form building and related tools to enable anyone to design, build and manage online forms using an intuitive drag and drop interface.
The theme designer lets you add your logo and brand colours or you can select from a range of professionally-designed colour palettes. There’s also a library of ready-to-use templates to get you started right away.
Just a few of the ready-to-run form templates supplied by Wufoo.
Forms don’t have to be simple – the rule builder opens up the possibility to build dynamic forms that use logic you’ve specified in order to carry out certain actions including showing and hiding fields, skipping pages or emailing specific individuals based on responses and selections made on the form.
Wufoo make hosting your online forms easy – there is a code manager which provides a number of copy and paste code snippets to enable you to embed your form on to your website, your blog, email, newsletters and Facebook pages.
To keep tabs on what is going on, there are dynamic, customisable form performance reports and form analytics to give you the metrics you need about your forms, including number of submissions, bounce rate, time spent on submissions etc.
You can request form notifications: Wufoo sends you emails or text messages to keep you updated about your online form submissions. They also offer an online payment feature so you can easily process credit cards from your users after gathering information from them via a Wufoo-powered form.
You can rely on Wufoo to look after your form data and keep your submissions safe and secure – full data encryption takes place when you collect data in a Wufoo form.
All of which looks pretty good to me, we haven’t carried out a full WuFoo review yet but we intend to do so.
