Wordtracker is a London based provider of a much better than average keyword research tool.

It is often said that you shouldn’t need to buy a keyword research tool as Google’s free Keyword Planner gives you everything you need, for free.

Sadly, this isn’t true. It’s true that you can use the AdWords planner for free and it will give you a good range of keywords to work with but, I’m afraid, in todays multi-channel marketplace, it just isn’t enough.

I speak as someone who does a lot of keyword research and needs to be able to uncover phrases that have decent search volumes and lower competition, in order to deliver my clients conversions at a reasonable cost per acquisition. You just can’t do that to a sufficient level with the Keyword Planner alone.

Which brings us to WordTracker. I opened up a free trial account and had a look around. I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. The first thing to impress me was the fact that you can choose from  a number of different keyword sources, including Google Keyword Planner, Amazon, YouTube and Wordtracker’s own database.
